There are three basic questions we all ask at some point in our lives. The sooner we get answers to the questions the sooner we can find peace. Those questions are who, why and what. Who am I? Why am I here and what am I supposed to do? We will take the three and try to answer them in order.

In our earlier blogs we looked at success, purpose and discipline. These are very important foundations to build upon when we talk about discipleship. Jesus never commanded his disciples to build his church. He said I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. The word translated church her is the Greek word, Ecclesia. It was not a religious term. Actually, it was a political term.

Jesus called his followers disciples. The meaning of disciple is a disciplined learner. It doesn’t do any good to read the manual, the Bible and not do what it says. There are three things that we are encouraged to obtain. Knowledge, understanding and wisdom. Knowledge is information, understanding is comprehension and wisdom is application. In simple terms that means to read the manual, understand it and apply it. Some fail to read it some fail to understand it and most fail to apply it.
